IEEE-SJCE STUDENT BRANCH

We’re glad to spread the word that IEEE-SJCE has successfully completed its Silver Jubilee in flying colours. We try to create an applicative productive outcome in students. We dole out a make over! This year we ve maximum number of members accounting to 233 and this certainly is a tremendous growth.
Technicality coupled with humanity serves the purpose. We’ve taken up humanitarian works under WIE [Women In Engineering]. We’ve now got on with the 'Go GREEN initiative' through our app to promote paperless transactions in all our IEEE – SJCE events and we've
also been able to bag the best website award two times in a row . We're one among the very
few SBs  that have their own android app . It's a pride for us to mention that one of our
members , Basavaraj Bellad has won the best volunteer award in the R10 region.
It was the first ever time in Mysuru to have an Air show hosted during IEEE-SJCE SB’s Silver Jubilee year and it saw a huge turn out of people. We undertake many workshops and fests to raffle out knowledge , technical skills and fun too. Main workshops include Snap Circuits , Soldering and etching , Robotics ,vacation mania. Technical fests include Tuxedo and Cyberia!
IEEE – SJCE has always been there for the society, it’s been up with many initiatives to spread knowledge amongst the unprivileged.  'PRAYAS' is the initiative by the students to visit the orphanages on a weekly basis and teach them. The volunteers visited one Orphanage on a weekly basis to interact with the students there and help them out in their academic activities.
SJCE also conducted a technical hands-on workshop at JSS-PDA [Polytechnic for the Differently Abled] where msp430 microcontroller and other basic electronics were taught to differently abled students who enjoyed the wonderful experience and also had a great exposure to a different sphere of knowledge.   IEEE-SJCE has been growing by leaps and bounds , it's been able to expand its vast reach ,beyond dimensions since its inception.
