JCE IEEE student branch was established in the year 2015 under the guidance of and as the Branch Counsellor, Dr.Krupa Rasane (Head ECE Dept and IEEE branch Counselor).
Being a three year old branch JCE IEEE student branch has conducted more than 40 Technical and Non-Technical events. JCE IEEE SB is having 60 IEEE student membership for the current year. JCE IEEE student branch had conduced LabView workshop, which encouraged students to take up future projects involving LabView. JCE IEEE SB conducted workshop on Photonics by expert from IISC Bangalore under the banner of JCE and in association with IEEE Photonics Society. JCE IEEE SB hosted a placement activity Elevate Skill, Opportunity and Career for the all north Karnataka. It included three sessions Aptitude, Group discussion and personal interview. Since the establishment of SB every year PCB, Image Processing workshop, Hobby level and Mini level Project Competitions have been conducted for all students. To make social issues awareness students collected funds and visited the local Orphanage. Every year a non-technical Electronic Premier League event have been conducted. Likewise various technical and non-technical events where conducted since the year of establishment.
In the upcoming year JCE IEEE student branch is planning to conduct an International Expo on Smart City Workshop and IOT products for smart city in association with Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi and in association with IEEE COMSoc, Bangalore and involving the local administrators.
JCE IEEE SB is planning to increase the number of student memberships. And main motto is to spread the awareness about IEEE in the region.
